Role overview

As a member of Apple’s Silicon Technologies group, you will help design and deliver next‑generation high‑performance, power‑efficient system‑on‑chip (SoC) technology. This is a hands‑on, highly visible role centred on solving process technology problems and maintaining direct interfaces with silicon vendors and foundries. The position typically involves travel to suppliers and foundries worldwide.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the technical process interface with silicon vendors and foundries, ensuring effective communication of requirements and expectations.
  • Collaborate closely with suppliers to resolve supplier silicon process issues and define process requirements.
  • Coordinate process transfers between IDMs and external foundries to enable volume production.
  • Participate in technology development, device engineering, and sustaining engineering activities within Hardware Technology.
  • Lead thorough root‑cause investigations for process and yield problems, develop corrective actions, and assess impacts on high‑volume product production, performance, and reliability.
  • Manage and mitigate technology risks across multiple concurrent projects, driving decisions to timely closure and ensuring robust follow‑through.
  • Build and maintain essential internal and external relationships at all levels, from engineering staff to senior management at suppliers and within Apple.
  • Engage stakeholders across the supply chain and ensure alignment from engineers to executives.
