Role purpose: As Commercial Operations Manager for Unilever Food Solutions Italy you will translate strategy into disciplined commercial execution to deliver profitable growth across customers and channels. You will report to the UFS Head of Country and act as the central orchestrator of the commercial agenda, ensuring alignment between Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain and Customer Development and supporting the PUSH agenda and the PULL growth model.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the annual commercial planning and manage the sales execution framework.
- Own the S&OP and forecasting process to align demand, supply and commercial priorities.
- Drive Net Revenue Management using pricing, portfolio transformation, mix management, promo optimisation and trade investment governance.
- Develop and implement customer and channel strategies to maximise profitable growth and ROI.
- Use sell‑out insights to shape customer approaches, optimise promotions and support sustainable margin expansion.
- Conduct commercial performance reviews to identify opportunities, foster ownership and ensure accountability.
- Enable the sales organisation with advanced analytics, dashboards and decision‑support tools.
- Govern commercial investments to ensure disciplined execution and optimal resource allocation.
- Drive cross‑functional alignment for flawless execution of business priorities and support innovation/renovation activation.
- Build capabilities and processes to improve route‑to‑market performance and customer profitability.
Key requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in Net Revenue Management (NRM) and Trade Marketing Investment (TMI) within the FMCG industry.
- Proven experience in forecasting, commercial planning and execution.
- Data‑driven mindset with strong analytical skills (Power BI, Microsoft Excel) and ability to turn data into route‑to‑market recommendations.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills to influence and collaborate across functions and with customers.
- Interest in the Food industry and a results‑oriented, collaborative approach.
- Fluency in Italian and English.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in Foods, Beverages or Out‑of‑Home channels.
- Exposure to sales or distribution channels.
- Ability to use AI or analytical programming.
- International education or professional experience.
- Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing or related field.
Additional information
Location: Uffici di Roma (Rome, Latium). Scope: Local. Function: Customer Strategy and Planning.
Terms & conditions: Full‑time – Permanent. Collective Labour Agreement: Food Industry (CNEL Code E012).
Salary range: €51,200 – €70,400 gross per year. The final package and contractual level will be set according to candidate experience, skills and internal equity. You will be eligible for the annual bonus plan (based on business results and individual performance) and the Annual Shares Plan, in line with company policy.
Tools provided: PC. Limited travel to customers is envisaged by the role. Please submit your application in English.

Requisiti
Minimum 5 years in NRM and TMI within FMCG; experience in forecasting, commercial planning and execution; strong analytical skills (Power BI, Excel); leadership and stakeholder management; fluency in Italian and English.
