The Role

We are seeking a proactive Security Consultant / SOC leader who will defend customers against current and emerging threats. In this role you will protect confidentiality, integrity and availability of information by evaluating, designing and deploying security measures in customer environments. You will collaborate with clients to assess their security posture and provide clear recommendations on best practices, risk management and security policies.

You will be hands-on: designing and implementing security controls, policies and procedures, and working with multi-disciplinary teams to deploy technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, access controls and encryption. You will perform thorough security and risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, support audits and produce findings that inform management decisions.

Keeping pace with evolving threats is essential: you will continuously study new attack vectors, technologies and best practices and propose enhancements to keep defenses up to date. Your expertise will also be used in reviewing IT infrastructure, systems and applications to ensure secure-by-design solutions, and in collaborating with customers and vendors on assessments, audits and due diligence.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 5+ years in information security consulting and implementation
• Experience managing risks related to processing, storing or transmitting information to protect confidentiality, integrity and availability
• Experience conducting security and risk assessments using frameworks (e.g., NIST, RMF, Common Criteria)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and business stakeholders
• Ability to stay current with security trends and adapt to new threats and technologies

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience quantifying risks and defining mitigation/remediation strategies
• Knowledge and application of NIST Control Framework, Critical Security Controls and other compliance frameworks
• Experience with cloud security, cyber resiliency/incident management, Zero Trust, network/EDGE security and emerging technologies (IoT, AI)
