About the hotel
Villa Igiea reopened in May 2021 after an extensive refurbishment that blends contemporary design with its Liberty heritage. The property comprises 100 rooms and suites, overlooks landscaped gardens and the Gulf of Palermo, features a signature culinary offer led by Chef Fulvio Pierangelini, a wellness centre, a well-equipped fitness room and a seaside swimming pool reserved for guests.
Main purpose
The Housekeeping Manager acts as an Ambassador of Excellence, ensuring a strong commitment to quality and guest care. The role leads the housekeeping and laundry teams for the resort and the hotel's 20 Private Villas, enforces service standards and sanitation protocols, and oversees the department budget.
Main duties & responsibilities
- Manage Housekeeping and Laundry teams, ensuring organised and effective guest service delivery and adherence to Rocco Forte and LQA standards.
- Supervise daily operations and personally inspect a sample of rooms, public areas and back-of-house zones on a daily basis.
- Recruit, develop and appraise department staff and oversee staff rota planning.
- Build personalised guest relationships and respond to special housekeeping requests, sharing guest preferences with relevant departments.
- Manage supplies, par-stock and equipment; organise the team to meet inventory and requisition deadlines.
- Maintain daily communication with Maintenance for routine requests and report structural or equipment improvements to the Room Division Manager to sustain housekeeping excellence.
- Drive the department to meet financial, quality and people objectives and propose ideas to improve profit and quality.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in Housekeeping and Laundry.

Other requirements
- High school diploma.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in housekeeping management (e.g., Executive Housekeeper, Housekeeping Director) in large resorts/hotels.
- Excellent leadership, strong attention to detail and a proven commitment to customer service.
- Fluent in Italian and English.
- Preferable evidence of ongoing self-development through specialized courses, conferences or workshops.
- PC literate.

Requisiti
High school diploma; minimum 3+ years supervisory experience in housekeeping management in large resorts/hotels; excellent leadership and attention to detail; fluent in Italian and English; preferably evidence of professional development (courses/conferences); PC literate.
