Position summary: The Commercial Operations Manager at Unilever Food Solutions Italy is responsible for converting business strategy into disciplined commercial execution to deliver profitable growth across channels and customers. The role reports to the UFS Head of Country and is a central coordinator of the commercial agenda within the UFS leadership team.

Contract & location: Full-time – Permanent. Location: Uffici di Roma. Collective Labour Agreement: Food Industry (CNEL Code E012). Salary Range: €51,200 – €70,400 gross per year. The successful candidate will also be eligible for the annual bonus plan and the Annual Shares Plan in line with company policy.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the annual commercial planning process and implement the sales execution framework.
  • Own S&OP and forecasting to ensure alignment between demand, supply and commercial priorities.
  • Drive Net Revenue Management across pricing, portfolio transformation, mix management, promotional optimisation and trade investment governance.
  • Design and execute customer and channel strategies to maximise profitable growth and ROI.
  • Use sell-out insights to refine customer strategies and optimise promotions for sustainable profitable growth.
  • Conduct commercial performance reviews to identify opportunities, foster ownership and ensure accountability.
  • Enable the sales organisation with advanced analytics, dashboards and decision-support tools.
  • Govern commercial investments to ensure disciplined execution and optimal resource allocation.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Development) to guarantee flawless execution of priorities and accelerate growth.
  • Support innovation and renovation programs through strong commercial activation and execution excellence.
  • Develop capabilities and processes to improve commercial effectiveness, route-to-market performance and customer profitability.

Key requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Net Revenue Management (NRM) and Trade Marketing Investment (TMI) within the FMCG industry.
  • Proven experience in forecasting, commercial planning and execution.
  • Data-driven mindset and strong analytical skills (Power BI, Microsoft Excel) with ability to turn data into route-to-market recommendations.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams and customers.
  • Interest in the Food industry; results-oriented with a collaborative and inclusive approach.
  • Fluency in Italian and English.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in Foods, Beverages or Out-of-Home channels.
  • Exposure to sales or distribution channels.
  • Familiarity with AI or analytical programming.
  • International study or work experience.
  • Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing or related field.

Requisiti

Minimum 5 years in NRM and TMI within FMCG; experience in forecasting and commercial planning; strong analytical skills (Power BI, Excel); leadership and stakeholder influence; fluency in Italian and English. Preferred: food/beverage or out-of-home experience, exposure to sales/distribution, ability to use AI/analytical programming, international experience, degree in related field.
