Role summary: As a Commis de Rang you contribute to an outstanding Guest experience by preparing and serving food and drinks and by providing appropriate recommendations when requested. You will work closely with chefs and senior waiters to ensure smooth service and high standards.
- Ensure a memorable dining experience for Guests by delivering prompt, attentive and unobtrusive service.
- Maintain a high profile during service while remaining polite and helpful.
- Follow instructions from chefs and senior waiters and anticipate their needs.
- Keep your station clean and organised at all times.
- Supply extra cutlery, glasses, bread and butter as required.
- Run trays between servers and the station and assist with deliveries to tables.
- React quickly to any spillages or breakages and manage them appropriately.
- Communicate any issues to the station waiter or the Restaurant Manager.
- Perform cleaning tasks at the station and be attentive to waiter requirements.
