Descrizione della Posizione Lavorativa
This role is offered on an Italian employment contract. Candidates must be based in Italy; we cannot support remote working from outside the country due to local employment and tax legislation.
The position is part of Deltatre's Digital Product team and focuses on FORGE — the publishing platform used by major sports leagues (NFL, MLB, NHL, UEFA, MLS) to manage content, presentation and customer experience — and NEXUS, our new product being developed for the sports market.
We are hiring at Junior to Mid level (1–4 years' product experience). You will co-own business outcomes for NEXUS, lead roadmap development for the FORGE CMS, manage the product backlog day‑to‑day, and contribute to longer‑term strategic roadmap work. The role is open to a range of experience — the right fit matters more than years on a CV.
Key responsibilities
- Roadmap & strategy: co‑own business outcomes for NEXUS (performance, adoption, satisfaction and KPIs); contribute to the strategic roadmap; champion new concepts and growth initiatives to strengthen FORGE and NEXUS in the sports market.
- Voice of the customer: gather and analyse customer feedback, market insights and usage data to guide roadmap decisions for the CMS and NEXUS.
- Requirements & backlog: own end‑to‑end requirement gathering and writing (epics, user stories, acceptance criteria); manage and prioritise the product backlog based on value, ROI and alignment to strategy.
- Developer collaboration: provide analysis and context to enable estimates and refinement; lead backlog grooming, sprint planning, stand‑ups, reviews and retrospectives; act as primary point of contact for the scrum team.
- Cross‑functional delivery: collaborate with Product Design, Product Engineering, Senior Product Management, Technology and other stakeholders to set sprint and quarterly goals and deliver increments.
- Customer engagement & continuous improvement: present and respond to customer feedback, run Customer Engagement Boards, resolve issues balancing short‑term fixes with long‑term evolution, and support Marketing/Go‑to‑Market on value messaging for releases.
- Continuous learning: keep current with Agile/Scrum best practices, product methodologies and trends in digital product management.
Required experience & skills
- 1–4 years' experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner or similar product role.
- Experience of digital products and services (web and/or mobile).
- Exposure to B2B (enterprise/back‑office) or B2C (user‑facing) products.
- Demonstrated business acumen and ability to link product decisions to commercial outcomes.
- Solid technical understanding to engage credibly with engineering teams.
- Deep knowledge of Agile processes and demonstrable experience owning a product backlog and writing user stories; hands‑on experience leading team ceremonies.
- Customer‑centric practice: conducting discovery, gathering feedback and translating insights into actionable improvements.
- Clear communication and presentation skills with stakeholder influence ability; organised and able to balance strategy with delivery.
- Analytical mindset and comfortable using data to inform decisions.
- Knowledge of a publishing platform or CMS and background in SaaS product management; familiarity with sports or media industry is desirable.
- Experience with Customer Engagement Boards or comparable feedback structures and a genuine interest in sport for editorial judgement.
Who thrives here
Product managers in Deltatre's Digital Product team work at the intersection of customer reality and engineering pragmatism. You will shape products used at scale by major sports brands and must care about both small details (e.g. CMS workflow friction) and long‑term evolution across quarters. A strong fit is someone honest about engineering trade‑offs, generous in giving credit, and curious about customers' actual workflows.
Process & what to expect
Salary starts from €27,000 at entry level up to €82,000 for candidates with significant relevant experience; final placement depends on experience and expertise. Internal progression uses a structured process combining a technical assessment and a competency‑based interview. The role falls under CCNL Commercio | D.Lgs. 96/2026.
