Collegio alla Querce, Auberge Collection is a hilltop Italian retreat housed in restored 16th-century buildings with terraced gardens and panoramic views of Florence and the Tuscan hills. The property features 49 Guest Rooms, 28 Suites and 6 Grand Suites, multiple dining venues including La Gamella (fine dining with a Chef’s Table), Bar Bertelli, Cafe Focolare by the pool, Sala Dorati and Il Teatro, and the Aelia Spa in partnership with Furtuna Skin.

Position: In‑Room Dining Chef de Rang (seasonal)

As an In‑Room Dining Chef de Rang, you will represent the in‑room dining experience within guests’ private spaces, delivering refined, seamless service with warmth, precision and care.

Key responsibilities

  • Be visibly engaged in service, ensuring every guest interaction demonstrates elegance, attention and authentic hospitality.
  • Create meaningful guest connections by recognising preferences, anticipating needs and managing requests, concerns or special occasions with discretion.
  • Deliver a personalised, refined and effortless in‑room dining experience.
  • Perform all duties of an in‑Room Dining Server as required and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
  • Ensure timely, accurate and graceful delivery and setup of all food and beverage items in guest rooms.
  • Possess in‑depth knowledge of the menu, wine and spirits to provide confident, tailored recommendations.
  • Maintain Auberge service standards and enhance the guest experience through subtle upselling and personalised suggestions.
  • Accurately take and enter guest orders into the POS, ensuring correct billing and clear communication with kitchen and bar teams.
  • Guarantee the quality, presentation and punctuality of all items delivered to guest rooms.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of experience in foodservice or hospitality.
  • Prior experience in a luxury hospitality property is highly recommended.
  • Good knowledge of food and wine, with the ability to offer considered recommendations.
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as required by the department.

Requisiti

Minimum two years of experience in foodservice or hospitality; prior luxury property experience highly recommended; good knowledge of food and wine; fluent English (additional languages a plus); ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
