Role summary

As a Server, you will welcome and serve guests in a friendly, timely and efficient way to ensure an excellent Guest and Member experience. You must be well informed about the menu and service standards and follow Hilton’s grooming and health & safety rules.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage guest enquiries courteously, quickly and efficiently.
  • Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in line with licensing and liquor regulations for both residents and non-residents.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the menu and products.
  • Ensure all floor stations are well stocked and mise-en-place is kept ready.
  • Follow correct reporting procedures when issues arise.
  • Ensure Food & Beverage orders are of consistent quality and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to Hilton grooming standards, including uniform, cleanliness and personal hygiene.
  • Comply with hotel security, fire procedures and all health & safety legislation.

  • Maintain a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • Be committed to delivering high levels of customer service.
  • Demonstrate excellent grooming standards.
  • Show flexibility to handle different work situations and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Language required: Italian.

Desirable qualifications and experience

  • Previous experience in a Food & Beverage department or the hospitality industry is advantageous.
  • Experience handling cash is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Food Hygiene Regulations is beneficial.

About Hilton Lake Como

Located on the slopes around Lake Como, the hotel is about 10 minutes from the city centre and a short walk from Villa Olmo. Many local boat excursions depart nearby. Guests can enjoy panoramic lake and mountain views from the rooftop infinity pool and sky-high bar.

Requisiti

Fluency in Italian; strong customer service and communication skills; adherence to Hilton grooming and health & safety standards. Previous F&B experience, cash-handling experience and knowledge of Food Hygiene Regulations are advantageous.
