Amazon is focused on being Earth’s Best Employer and the most customer-centric company, and the HR Partner role in the Builder Experience Team (BeXT) supports that mission. This position is a 12-month fixed-term contract centred on improving the experience for Amazon employees (called Builders) by combining HR expertise with empathy, innovation and partnership across the organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver tailored people support to amplify the voice of the Builder, partnering with AWS business leaders and other HR teams to design and roll out HR initiatives.
- Consult on talent and performance management, compensation, employee relations, and other HR processes to support business goals.
- Coach and advise leaders at multiple levels to drive decisions with empathy and sound judgement, and to action development and performance processes.
- Promote an inclusive environment and act as an advocate for Builders so they feel engaged and valued.
- Manage escalations and complex, sensitive Builder issues with discretion, applying Amazon policies and exercising high judgement.
- Support and guide Builder queries, conduct difficult workplace investigations in collaboration with Builder Relations, and ensure confidentiality.
- Encourage adoption of HR technology and self-service tools, and collaborate across teams, levels and regions in a matrixed, fast-paced environment.
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business/Management, Psychology or a related field.
- Proven experience as an HR generalist with hands-on knowledge of core HR functions.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience operating within a matrixed organisation and working across multiple stakeholders.
- Strong coaching and consulting skills with demonstrated business and HR acumen, including problem-solving, critical thinking and analysis.
- Experience in employee relations and workplace investigations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, tenacity, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to handle pressure and multiple priorities.
- Ability to exercise high judgement, maintain strict confidentiality and show empathy, autonomy and flexibility.
- Experience with Work Councils or other employee representative bodies is advantageous.

Requisiti
Bachelor’s degree (Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business/Management, Psychology or related) and strong HR generalist experience. Preferred: experience in a matrixed organisation, coaching/consulting skills, strong business and HR acumen, employee relations/investigations experience, excellent written and verbal communication, ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality, and experience with employee representative bodies.
