Van der Valk Solar Systems is expanding and is seeking an Account Manager New Business for Italy to help grow its presence in the Italian solar market. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining commercial success with technical solutions and wants to work for a family-owned, innovative company with an international footprint.
Role overview
In this position you will focus on acquiring new customers (direct and indirect), developing partnerships and strengthening long-term relationships with customers and stakeholders across Italy. You will collaborate with colleagues in Italy and with the Dutch headquarters. The role is primarily home-office based but requires frequent travel to meet customers, visit partners and attend events throughout Italy.
Key responsibilities
- Proactively acquire new direct and indirect customers in the Italian solar market.
- Build and expand long-term relationships with customers, partners and key stakeholders.
- Identify market opportunities and key players in the Italian PV sector.
- Plan and carry out customer visits across Italy.
- Prepare, present and follow up on quotations using dedicated engineering software.
- Provide technical and commercial advice to customers and internal teams.
- Coordinate delivery schedules closely with purchasing, production and logistics.
- Accurately manage customers, prospects and quotations in the CRM system.
- Represent the company at trade fairs, trainings and customer events.
- Keep up to date with products, market developments and internal tools.
Candidate profile
- Ambitious and proactive professional with a strong commercial mindset and natural interest in technology.
- Experience in a B2B commercial role is required; sector experience in solar/PV is a strong plus.
- Technical understanding and solution-oriented approach.
- Entrepreneurial attitude and ability to work independently, with good organisational and planning skills.
- IT skills: MS Office, Outlook and CRM systems.
- Driving licence and willingness to travel within Italy.
- Languages: Italian and English (native or fluent).
