The opportunity
We are hiring a Support Team Lead – SRE II to supervise a small team (about 3–4 engineers) and help ensure the reliability of critical production services. This is a hands-on role combining operational responsibilities with team coordination in an environment that includes OpenShift, microservices, distributed systems, Kafka and MongoDB. You will operate with a good degree of autonomy, collaborating with the Tech Lead, customers and other technical teams to prioritise work, address complex incidents and make technical decisions. On-call availability is required.

- Base salary: €38,500 – €48,500

Responsibilities
- Coordinate team activities, priorities and ownership of tasks to ensure reliable delivery.
- Drive troubleshooting, incident resolution and escalation across microservices and distributed systems.
- Maintain and enhance application reliability and performance on OpenShift.
- Contribute to monitoring, observability, alerting and post-incident improvements.
- Identify opportunities to automate recurring tasks and simplify operational processes.
- Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to understand priorities and business impact.
- Foster accountability, collaboration and engineering best practices within the team.
Required skills and experience
- At least 2 years in SRE, application maintenance, production support, DevOps or similar operational roles.
- Hands-on experience with OpenShift in production environments.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservice architectures and Kafka.
- Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting and incident management.
- Practical experience with an observability tool such as Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry or similar.
- Experience coordinating technical work, operational initiatives or small teams.
- Ability to prioritise independently and drive tasks to completion.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills; collaborative and proactive mindset focused on automation and reliability.
- Fluency in Italian and professional working proficiency in English.
Nice to have
- Experience with MongoDB or Apache Ignite.
- Familiarity with GitLab, Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of Jaeger, Kibana, Datadog or similar observability tools.
- Experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure automation.
- Formal knowledge of SRE and reliability engineering practices.
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
Additional information

Requisiti
Minimum 2 years in SRE/production support/DevOps; production OpenShift experience; knowledge of distributed systems, microservices and Kafka; observability tooling; experience coordinating small teams; fluency in Italian and professional English.
