Mission: Lead product strategy, vision and development initiatives; ensure alignment with the market and drive product innovation from concept to market introduction.

Summary: Build business cases for new products and run market tests together with Product Marketing and Sales. Design and develop products to customer or sales specifications. Maintain the product-portfolio P&L, know unit costs and contribution margins, and implement lifecycle and cost-reduction strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Product & Portfolio Strategy: develop and implement product and portfolio plans; keep management and the business updated on product positioning, release schedules and stakeholder management.
  • Vision & Evangelising: create a clear product vision and communicate it internally and externally; act as product spokesperson at conferences, with customers, press and analysts when needed.
  • Pricing: define and execute pricing strategies; perform cost analyses and set price levels.
  • Roadmaps: set priorities and future directions for the portfolio; publish and maintain roadmaps for internal and external stakeholders including launches and lifecycle actions.
  • Innovation: drive idea generation and prioritisation based on customer insight and market trends; collaborate with internal teams to surface high-value ideas.
  • Product Discovery: explore customer and buyer needs, validate concepts and use structured approaches (e.g., prototyping) to test ideas.
  • Requirements Gathering: collect, analyse, prioritise and document product requirements; define use cases and assess trade-offs with design and production.
  • Analysis: identify market opportunities and prepare business cases to justify investments.
  • Design & Build: manage development, create prototypes, iterate from feedback and ensure product deliverables meet QA, performance and experience requirements.
  • Operational Readiness & Trials: manage internal roll-outs and system updates; oversee internal and external trials, including partner and supplier selection and negotiation with Product Marketing.
  • Cost Optimisation: identify and implement product cost optimisation plans; define cost reduction and stop-sell decisions when appropriate.
  • Technical Support: provide 3rd-level technical support to Marketing and Sales (price definition, feasibility analysis) and design QA testing procedures for finished products.

Requirements

  • Must-haves:
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
    • Proven experience in product management, product strategy and product development.
    • Experience in manufacturing and with HVAC-R, industrial kitchens or other industrial applications of temperature/humidity sensors.

  • Customer-centric attitude and ability to relate effectively to customers and prospects.
  • Perseverance, tenacity and a results-driven mindset.
  • Flexibility in time and resource allocation and strong organisational skills.
  • Proactive problem solver with a sense of urgency and an action-oriented approach.
  • Team player who can also work independently; resilient under stress and eager to learn.
