Descrizione della Posizione Lavorativa

Position summary: The Sous Chef reports to the Executive Chef and supports the kitchen leadership by overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring culinary standards are maintained.

  • Supervise the kitchen team and assign daily tasks to staff.
  • Act as the Chef’s deputy in their absence, assuming all related responsibilities when required.
  • Plan food preparation and ensure every dish follows the agreed recipes and presentation standards.
  • Develop menus in collaboration with the Executive Chef.
  • Monitor stock levels and manage warehouse operations.
  • Ensure full compliance with health & hygiene regulations (HACCP) and workplace safety rules.
  • Quickly manage and resolve operational issues as they arise.
  • Track team performance, product quality and production flow, promoting continuous improvement.
  • Maintain effective communication with the kitchen team and other hotel departments.
  • Oversee staff training and professional development, and communicate any needs for additional personnel.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively within a team.
