Role overview
As a Chef de Rang, you will contribute to creating memorable dining experiences by delivering polished, attentive and seamless service. This role requires efficiency, elegance and a passion for hospitality to embody the Auberge service standards.
Key responsibilities
- Guest experience & service excellence: take orders, anticipate guest needs and ensure timely, accurate delivery of all items; build genuine connections with guests to secure satisfaction and personalised service.
- Menu knowledge & upselling: follow Auberge Resorts Collection service standards and thoughtfully suggest menu items to enhance the dining experience; demonstrate in-depth knowledge of food and beverage offerings to provide confident recommendations.
- Order management & accuracy: accurately take and place guest orders, promptly enter them into the POS system and manage billing precisely; keep clear communication with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service flow.
- Operational excellence & cleanliness: operate, maintain and clean restaurant equipment and fittings complying with safety and hygiene standards; keep restaurant areas tidy, organised and aligned with safe food handling procedures.
Qualifications & skills
- Experience: minimum of two years in foodservice or hospitality is required; prior experience in a luxury property is highly recommended.
- Knowledge: good knowledge of food and wine to provide informed recommendations.
- Personal qualities: superior professional appearance, polished manner and strong interpersonal skills suited to a fast-paced team environment.
- Languages: fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages (including Italian) are an advantage.
- Availability: ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
