We are looking for an outstanding and enthusiastic Assistant Front of House Manager to support the Front of House Manager and help deliver exceptional guest experiences. About Generator Rome: located a short walk from the Colosseum and Roma Termini station, Generator Rome features 75 stylishly designed rooms across seven floors, plus a bar and chill-out lounge. We look forward to welcoming you to the team.

Key responsibilities

  • Support and report to the Front of House Manager.
  • Own the guest journey to ensure a distinctive Generator experience.
  • Continuously raise standards to achieve outstanding customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure the social spaces reflect the Generator brand and culture.
  • Ensure there is always a responsible duty manager onsite.
  • Recruit, build and lead a FOH team who understand and embody Generator values.
  • Keep the team updated with local, national and international trends.
  • Communicate clearly in all directions so the team understands goals and stays motivated.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of and compliance with all relevant local legislation and regulations for the department.

These duties are not exhaustive; other reasonable tasks may be required as part of the role.

  • Passionate about hospitality and youth travel markets.
  • Committed to delivering excellent customer service.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, train and develop team members.
  • Hands-on approach and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays and nights.
  • You must be eligible to work in the EU to be considered for this role.

Experience and technical skills

  • Previous hospitality experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • High commercial awareness and proven sales capabilities alongside leadership skills.
  • Competent IT skills and familiarity with office software.
  • Conversant with at least one Property Management System.
  • Languages: Fluent in English and Italian is listed among required skills.

Requisiti

Eligible to work in the EU; previous hospitality experience in a similar role preferred; competent IT skills; conversant with at least one Property Management System; available to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
