What will be your mission?

As Housekeeping Director, you will lead and inspire the housekeeping team to ensure consistently high standards of cleanliness and guest service throughout the hotel. You will manage day-to-day housekeeping activities, oversee the efficiency of the laundry service and monitor the department’s financial performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule and organize the workload to guarantee appropriate coverage by floor staff.
  • Support the floor team with room cleaning and preparation in urgent or exceptional situations.
  • Supervise the cleanliness of public areas (lobby, lounges, corridors) and rooms prepared by the floor staff or subcontractors.
  • Organize periodic deep-cleaning operations and report maintenance issues to the maintenance department.
  • Work with the front office to allocate rooms according to guest requirements or special characteristics.
  • Oversee guest linen operations, arranging cleaning in-house or sending items to external dry cleaners when necessary.
  • Manage inventory and control of all housekeeping supplies (cleaning products, amenities, etc.).
  • Control expenses across housekeeping and contribute to preparing the annual departmental budget.
  • Develop and implement procedures to assure the quality of housekeeping and laundry services.
  • Address and monitor guest comments, suggestions and complaints, and put in place action plans.
  • Supervise and implement preventive sanitary and hygiene maintenance tasks.
  • Recruit, interview and train new team members.
  • Provide ongoing supervision, feedback and recognition to support team performance and development.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel of comparable size and complexity.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Fluency in the local language is required; knowledge of English is highly valued.
  • Working knowledge of common computer software (e.g. Microsoft Office).

Requisiti

1–2 years’ experience in a similar role; high school diploma or equivalent; fluency in the local language required, English highly valued; working knowledge of computer software (e.g. Microsoft Office).
