Descrizione della Posizione Lavorativa

General Summary

Arduino is now part of Qualcomm. We are seeking a Robotics Product Manager to lead the development and evolution of robotics platforms—such as mobile robots, robotic arms, sensor/actuator ecosystems and educational kits—focused on hands-on learning, real-world exploration and advanced prototyping. This role is based at our operational headquarters in Turin, Italy.

Role and responsibilities

As Robotics Product Manager you will partner with engineering, design, research and business teams to define and deliver robotics products across the full lifecycle. You will move products from early concept validation through launch and continuous improvement, with strong attention to user needs, technical robustness, integrated hardware-software experiences and business outcomes.

  • Shape the vision: define and manage roadmaps for robotics platforms across Education, Maker and Professional markets; discover opportunities through market research, user insights and competitive analysis; translate ideas into clear product strategies aligned with Arduino's mission.
  • Drive development: collaborate with hardware, embedded and software engineers to set functional and technical requirements; oversee mechanical, electrical and firmware development while balancing cost, quality and timelines; coordinate with supply chain and operations during prototyping, pre-series and production ramp-up; ensure documentation, safety and compliance for mechatronics and motion systems; work with content and support teams to create tutorials, example projects and classroom resources.
  • Prepare for go-to-market and launch: design and lead validation cycles (field tests, pilot programs, educator betas); partner with marketing and sales to define messaging, materials and training; contribute to pricing, positioning and segmentation; align cross-functional teams for smooth rollouts.
  • Own the lifecycle: monitor product performance via KPIs, user feedback and analytics; identify enhancements and long-term evolution opportunities; support lifecycle decisions including margin reviews, pricing updates and end-of-life planning.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of Product Management or related experience (4+ years cited in parts of the posting).

What you bring

  • Technical background in robotics development, including experience with motors, motion control, sensing, simulation and firmware.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams: mechanical, electrical, firmware, software, UX, supply chain, marketing and sales.
  • Proven understanding of full product lifecycle management: ideation, requirements, roadmap, release planning and iteration.
  • Data-driven mindset: use user insights, experiments and metrics to inform decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong ownership, accountability and a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Italian is a strong plus.

Preferred qualifications and bonuses

  • Degree in robotics, mechatronics, computer engineering or similar (Bachelor's or Master's).
  • Experience with educational robotics platforms, robot kits, mobile robotics or manipulators.
  • Familiarity with ROS/ROS2 and simulation tools (e.g., Gazebo, Webots) or robotics middleware.
  • Experience in open-source hardware/software communities; knowledge of Arduino hardware, software and ecosystem.
  • Ability to produce or review technical content (tutorials, datasheets, guides).
  • Experience with electronic design tools (KiCad, Altium) and mechanical CAD (Fusion 360, SolidWorks).
  • Curiosity, adaptability and enthusiasm for exploring new robotics domains.
