Villa Igiea reopened in May 2021 after an extensive renovation and combines contemporary design with its original Liberty spirit. The property features 100 rooms and suites, lush gardens and views over the Gulf of Palermo, a wellness centre, a well-equipped fitness room and a sea-front swimming pool reserved for guests.
Main purpose: The Housekeeping Manager acts as an Ambassador of Excellence, ensuring a strong focus on quality and guest care. The role leads the housekeeping and laundry teams for the Resort and for the 20 Private Villas, guaranteeing adherence to service standards and sanitation protocols while overseeing the department budget.
Main duties & responsibilities
- Manage the Housekeeping and Laundry teams, ensuring organised operations and high-quality guest service delivery in line with Rocco Forte and LQA standards.
- Supervise daily work, performing personal checks on a sample of rooms, public areas and assigned back-of-house areas.
- Handle selection, development and performance appraisals of department staff and supervise rota planning.
- Create personalised guest relationships, attend to special housekeeping requests and share guest preferences with relevant departments.
- Oversee supplies, par-stock and equipment; organise team work to meet inventory and requisition deadlines.
- Maintain daily communication with the Maintenance Department for routine maintenance requests and report structural and equipment improvements to the Room Division Manager.
- Lead the department to achieve financial, quality and people objectives, proposing ideas to improve profit and service quality.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the Housekeeping and Laundry department.

Other requirements
- High school diploma.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in housekeeping management (Executive Housekeeper, Housekeeping Director or similar) in large resorts/hotels.
- Excellent leadership, strong attention to detail and commitment to guest service.
- Fluent Italian and English.
- PC literate; attendance at relevant courses/conferences/workshops is preferable.

Requisiti
High school diploma; at least 3 years of supervisory housekeeping experience in large hotels/resorts; strong leadership and attention to detail; fluent in Italian and English; PC literate; preferred participation in specialized courses/workshops.
