Your contribution

As a Master Data Architect on Azure you will be responsible for driving client engagements and shaping Azure data initiatives. You will manage key clients, coordinate the relationship with Microsoft and lead the Azure Center of Excellence. Key activities include:

• Leading Data & Analytics projects on Azure.
• Supporting recruitment and contributing to the company value proposition.
• Fostering the development of skills and capabilities within the team.
• Designing data platforms using Azure Data & AI services such as Synapse, Data Factory, Data Lake Gen2, Stream Analytics, Purview.
• Defining operations architecture and performing performance engineering for large-scale production data lakes.
• Applying the Microsoft Well-Architected Framework (WAF) and Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) to solution design and implementation.
• Designing and implementing efficient data ingestion and pipeline architectures using Azure native services (e.g., Synapse, Data Factory) or data management tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica).
• Participating in client design workshops, evaluating trade-offs and proposing recommendations to build robust solutions.
• Mentoring engineers on coding best practices and problem solving.

Ideal profile

The role is suited to an experienced data professional with consulting exposure and leadership skills. The main requirements are:

• Proven background in data analytics, preferably from consulting firms.
• At least 5 years of experience managing teams of BI/data analysts up to senior level.
• Practical experience in Azure cloud-native environments and knowledge of Big Data architectures (cloud and on-premise).
• Hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure and networking.
• Familiarity with Azure ingestion and load services such as Event Hub, Data Factory and Databricks.
• Experience with core Azure storage technologies: Data Lake Gen1, Data Lake Gen2, Delta Lake.
• Experience with processing and serving services such as Synapse, Databricks and Stream Analytics.
• Proven ability to build and deliver proofs-of-concept to meet business needs using appropriate techniques and data sources.
• Experience migrating workloads from on-premise to cloud environments.
• Experience monitoring distributed infrastructures with Azure tools or open-source solutions (for example CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK).
• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and Kanban.
• Strong skills in data manipulation and BI tools.
• Excellent stakeholder management, including experience engaging with senior management to drive projects.
• Proactive attitude, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment.

Requisiti

Proven experience in data analytics (preferably consulting); minimum 5 years managing BI/data analyst teams; strong hands-on experience in Azure cloud-native environments and Big Data architectures; knowledge of Azure infrastructure, networking and core services (Event Hub, Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake Gen1/Gen2, Delta Lake, Synapse, Stream Analytics, Purview); experience delivering POCs and migrating workloads to cloud; experience monitoring distributed infrastructures; familiarity with Agile/Kanban; strong data manipulation and BI tooling skills; excellent stakeholder management and leadership.
