The Green Recruitment Company is looking for an Environmental Engineer to support permitting and development activities for solar and onshore wind projects in Italy.
The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing and managing environmental permitting documentation at local, regional and national levels, and for producing EIA/VIA and screening reports. They will ensure environmental compliance throughout development, construction and operation phases, and will use GIS tools to identify suitable areas for new renewable projects.
Key tasks include assessing environmental and landscape constraints and handling the associated procedures, coordinating specialist studies (for example flora and fauna surveys and renaturalization plans), evaluating project compatibility with planning instruments, conducting site inspections and maintaining accurate documentation, and liaising with authorities and external consultants.
Requirements: a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field, at least 5 years of experience in environmental permitting for wind and PV projects, strong knowledge of Italian environmental regulations and EIA/VIA processes, proficiency with QGIS/ArcGIS, MS Office and basic AutoCAD. The role also requires strong autonomy, attention to detail, teamwork skills and a willingness to travel.
