We are recruiting a Junior Recruiter (Space Sector) to join our client’s international Talent Acquisition team and support hiring for programmes linked to European institutions and the space/aerospace sector. Our client is a leading Space Services organisation with over 55 years of history, having supported more than 50 space missions for agencies such as ESA and NASA. Their competences span the full space lifecycle, from satellite testing and launch services to spacecraft operations, space surveillance and data management, participating in national strategies and the New Space era.
We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented professional with 1–2 years of recruitment experience (including internships) and a strong interest in the space or aerospace domain. Candidates who live far from the work location should be willing to relocate near the client’s office in Italy (Rome), Czech Republic (Prague), Spain (Madrid) or Netherlands (Noordwijk), unless they can commute regularly. A minimum of B2 level English is mandatory; C1 is strongly preferred. Additional languages are advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Talent acquisition & sourcing: support end-to-end recruitment in the space domain; actively source via LinkedIn, job boards, universities, events and sector platforms; screen CVs and conduct initial phone/video interviews; build and maintain candidate pipelines; collaborate with Senior Recruiters and Hiring Managers to define sourcing strategies.
- Candidate management: ensure a smooth candidate experience; coordinate interviews, assessments and communications; provide timely feedback; support offer negotiation and preparation when required.
- Employer branding & events: contribute to initiatives aimed at space/aerospace talent and participate in job fairs, university career days and industry events.
- Data & process management: keep accurate records in the ATS; track recruitment metrics (time-to-hire, pipeline data, sourcing effectiveness); help improve recruitment processes and tools; ensure compliance with internal policies and employment regulations.
Required skills and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition or HR (including internships).
- Strong interest in the space/aerospace sector and basic familiarity with relevant technical areas.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to manage multiple searches in a fast-paced environment.
- Good knowledge of sourcing tools (e.g. LinkedIn Recruiter), job boards and Boolean search techniques; familiarity with ATS platforms is a plus.
- English proficiency (B2 minimum, C1 preferred); additional languages are a plus.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience recruiting technical profiles (engineering, IT, R&D).
- Familiarity with ATS and other HR tools.
- Knowledge of fundamentals related to space missions, satellite technologies, aerospace engineering or STEM fields.
- Strong problem-solving and organisational abilities.
Extra information: Type of contract: Permanent. Work mode: Hybrid — 2 working days per week in the office and the remainder remote. Location: near the client’s offices in Rome (Italy), Prague (Czech Republic), Madrid (Spain) or Noordwijk (Netherlands). Starting date: ASAP.
