Job purpose

The Commercial Operations Manager leads end-to-end commercial planning and execution for Unilever Food Solutions Italy, driving profitable growth across channels and customers. The role orchestrates sales planning, forecasting, pricing and mix decisions, trade investment governance, promotional effectiveness, customer planning and performance management while ensuring alignment across Sales, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the annual commercial planning process and set the sales execution framework.
  • Own S&OP and forecasting to align demand, supply and commercial priorities.
  • Drive Net Revenue Management across levers such as pricing, portfolio transformation, active mix management, promotional optimisation and trade investment governance.
  • Design and implement customer and channel strategies that maximise profitable growth and return on investment.
  • Use sell-out insights to inform customer strategies, optimise promotions and support sustainable profitable growth.
  • Run commercial performance reviews to identify opportunities, build ownership and ensure accountability for results.
  • Enable the sales organisation with advanced analytics, dashboards and decision-support tools.
  • Govern commercial investments to ensure disciplined execution and optimal resource allocation.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment to guarantee flawless execution of business priorities and to accelerate growth.
  • Support innovation and renovation initiatives through strong commercial activation and execution excellence.
  • Build capabilities and processes to improve commercial effectiveness, route-to-market performance and customer profitability.

Key requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Net Revenue Management (NRM) and Trade Marketing Investment (TMI) within the FMCG sector.
  • Proven experience in forecasting, commercial planning and execution.
  • Data-driven mindset and strong analytical ability—practical experience with Power BI and advanced Microsoft Excel, able to convert data into actionable route-to-market recommendations.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and customers.
  • Interest in the food industry and a results-oriented, collaborative approach.
  • Fluency in Italian and English.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in Foods, Beverages or Out-of-Home channels.
  • Exposure to sales or distribution channels.
  • Familiarity with AI or analytical programming.
  • International educational or professional experience.
  • Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing or related field.

Terms & Conditions: Full-time – Permanent • Collective Labour Agreement: Food Industry (CNEL Code E012)

Salary range: €51,200 – €70,400 gross per year (to be defined according to experience, skills and internal equity).

Tools provided: PC.

Requisiti
