Atlantic Gate is a medium-sized, internationally active freight forwarder with a solid emphasis on sea freight. The Genoa office hosts a compact, ambitious and fast-growing team committed to becoming a market leader.
To support this growth, we are seeking an experienced, hands-on Operations Team Lead to join the team and take responsibility for sea freight operations.
Your impact
In this position you will take ownership of the company’s sea freight operations, lead a small team and simultaneously contribute to daily operational tasks. You will be instrumental in designing processes, increasing efficiency and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Your responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day activities of the Sea Freight department.
- Work closely with the team and actively handle import and export shipments.
- Challenge and improve current procedures to boost efficiency.
- Ensure full compliance with internal OPS procedures and applicable external regulations.
- Monitor and optimize operational costs while keeping competitive service levels.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, agents and service providers.
- Ensure high service quality and customer satisfaction.
- Proactively identify and resolve operational issues.
What you bring
- Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in freight forwarding, with sea freight experience required.
- Hands-on mindset with the ability to lead by example.
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to support operational activities when needed.
- Additional certifications (FIATA, customs, Lean/Six Sigma) are considered a plus.

Requisiti
