Atlantic Gate is looking for an Operations Team Lead to join its Genoa office. We are a medium-sized, globally active freight forwarder with a particular focus on sea freight; our Genoa team is small, ambitious and growing, aiming to become a leading player in the sector.
In this role you will take ownership of the company’s sea freight operations, manage a small team and remain actively involved in day-to-day operational activities. You will help shape and improve processes, increase efficiency and ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
Your responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily operations of the Sea Freight department.
- Work closely with the team and actively handle import/export shipments.
- Challenge and enhance current working methods to boost efficiency.
- Ensure full compliance with internal procedures (OPS) and applicable external regulations.
- Monitor and optimize operational costs while keeping competitive service levels.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, agents and service providers.
- Ensure high service quality and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges.
What we are looking for
- Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in freight forwarding, with sea freight experience required.
- Hands-on mindset with the ability to lead by example.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to support operational activities when needed.
- Additional certifications (FIATA, customs, Lean/Six Sigma) are a plus.

Requisiti
Laurea in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business o simili; minimo 3+ anni di esperienza nella spedizione merci (esperienza in sea freight richiesta); mentalità operativa; ottime capacità organizzative e comunicative; flessibilità nel supportare le operazioni. Certificazioni aggiuntive (FIATA, dogana, Lean/Six Sigma) sono un plus.
