Descrizione della Posizione Lavorativa

Position summary: The Sous Chef reports to the Executive Chef and assists in managing the kitchen by supervising the team and coordinating daily operations. The role includes stepping in for the Executive Chef when necessary and ensuring consistent quality and service.

  • Supervise the kitchen team and allocate daily tasks.
  • Act as deputy for the Executive Chef in their absence, taking on full responsibilities when required.
  • Assign duties to kitchen staff and plan preparations to guarantee that every dish follows agreed recipes and presentation standards.
  • Collaborate in menu creation together with the Executive Chef.
  • Monitor inventory levels and oversee warehouse management.
  • Ensure compliance with health, hygiene (HACCP) and workplace safety regulations.
  • Manage and resolve operational issues promptly and effectively.
  • Control team performance, product quality and production flows, promoting continuous improvement.
  • Communicate clearly with the team and other departments, and identify needs for additional staff.
  • Oversee staff training and development to enhance skills and performance.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Team-oriented attitude.
