For its Milan office Fortidia is hiring a Shipping Solutions Product Manager to drive growth, adoption and the continuous development of Fortidia's shipping services across the MBE Network. This role sits in the Product Marketing Department and supports strategic development, commercial adoption and ongoing evolution of a portfolio of shipping solutions across Fortidia countries. The position combines product management, commercial enablement and strategic partner management, acting as a bridge between business needs, technology partners and the Fortidia Network.
The initial product portfolio covers freight and pallet shipping, international wine shipping and cross-border shipping solutions for duties & taxes calculation and guaranteed DDP services, with the possibility to expand the scope to further shipping solutions over time. The role reports to the Product Director Shipping & Fulfillment and collaborates closely with country Product Owners, international partners and cross-functional teams.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Product Management & Strategy: Support definition and execution of strategy for assigned shipping solutions, identifying opportunities for product enhancement, commercial growth and service innovation across the MBE Network.
- Product Development & Go-to-Market: Coordinate product launches, commercial roll-outs and adoption initiatives across countries; produce product guidelines, commercial toolkits and training materials to enable Product Owners and MBE Centers.
- Business Development & Network Support: Act as subject matter expert for assigned products, help Product Owners and MBE Centers spot business opportunities, prepare commercial proposals and increase adoption across the network.
- Strategic Partner Management: Manage relationships with logistics and technology partners, coordinate new initiatives and product improvements, support supplier evaluation, resolve issues and roll out new capabilities.
- Product Performance & Continuous Improvement: Monitor KPIs, revenues, adoption and operational performance; analyze market feedback and propose actions to enhance customer experience, efficiency and commercial results.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, IT, Legal and Learning & Development to ensure correct product positioning, communication and adoption across the network.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in Product Management, International Shipping, Freight Forwarding, Cross-border Logistics, Transportation Services or similar international environments.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Industrial Engineering or related field.
- Business & Product Skills: Strong knowledge of shipping services and logistics solutions; experience with freight transportation, customs procedures, duties & taxes management, international trade, e-commerce logistics or logistics technology platforms is an advantage. Commercial mindset with the ability to balance customer needs, operational feasibility and business goals.
- Stakeholder & Project Management: Excellent communication and collaboration skills with international teams, technology providers, logistics partners and MBE Network stakeholders; experience managing cross-functional projects and external partners.
- Communication: Ability to engage senior stakeholders and multicultural teams; prior international exposure is highly valued.
- Languages: Excellent written and spoken English. Spanish, French or German are a plus.
- Attitude: Customer and business oriented, curious and proactive, strong analytical mindset, comfortable in an international/multicultural environment, passionate about product development and innovation.

Requisiti
Minimum 10 years of experience in product management or international shipping/logistics; Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Industrial Engineering or related; strong knowledge of shipping services, freight, customs and cross-border logistics; excellent written and spoken English (Spanish/French/German a plus); strong communication, stakeholder management and commercial mindset.
