We are looking for a passionate Bar Crew member to join our Food & Beverage team and help deliver exceptional guest experiences. As part of Generator’s bar team you will make sure the bar operates smoothly and aim to impress our customers at every opportunity.

About Generator Rome

Generator Rome is centrally located a short walk from the Colosseum and Roma Termini station. The property features 75 thoughtfully designed rooms across seven floors, and includes a bar and chill-out lounge.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure every customer interaction meets and preferably exceeds expectations, creating memorable impressions.
• Keep the bar clean, tidy and ready for service at all times.
• Maintain full stock levels of glasses, ice, garnishes and cocktail ingredients so the bar is ready to trade.
• Ensure sufficient supplies and produce are available for customers at all times.
• During busy service, maintain Generator standards of cleanliness for tables, floors and equipment.
• Monitor service and drink/cocktail quality, and escalate to the Bar Supervisor or F&B Manager when standards require attention.
• Follow cash handling procedures and ensure floats reconcile correctly.

These duties are not exhaustive; other reasonable tasks may be requested as part of the role.

• Keep calm under pressure.
• Commercial mindset with enthusiasm for driving revenue.
• Understanding of stock control and cost management.
• Creative, innovative and comfortable with digital tools.
• Genuine people person who enjoys engaging with guests.
• Willing to undertake hands-on tasks where required.
• Excellent communicator and flexible in availability.
• Must be eligible to work in the EU.

Experience and knowledge

• Previous experience in hospitality or service industry is desirable.
• Passion for the city, travel and current food & drink trends.
• Familiarity with contemporary local interests and the city environment.
• Enthusiasm for delivering great service.
