The Gritti Palace, part of The Luxury Collection by Marriott International, is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor. This is a permanent, full-time role with a 40-hour working week (8 hours per day, 5 days per week, with 2 days off).
The property overlooks the Grand Canal and combines historic charm with refined Venetian style. The hotel is renowned for attentive service, a high-quality culinary offering and an intimate wellness area, and serves an international clientele during major city events such as the Biennale, Carnival and the Venice Film Festival.
Responsibilities
- Inspect guest rooms, public spaces and pool areas after cleaning to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Run sold-room reports, check room status, identify discrepant rooms, set cleaning priorities and update departing-room statuses.
- Support Housekeeping management in overseeing daily operations.
- Coordinate efforts between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office and Laundry as a point of contact.
- Report and resolve issues related to discrepant rooms together with the Front Desk.
- Prepare, distribute and communicate assignment sheets/workboards and hand over information to the next shift.
- Complete required paperwork and follow Standard Operating Procedures and brand guidelines.
- Assist in training, scheduling, evaluating, counselling, disciplining, motivating and coaching team members.
- Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents or injuries and complete required safety training and certifications.
- Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, protect company assets and confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Support colleagues, collaborate to reach team goals and perform other reasonable duties as requested by the Housekeeping Manager.
Requirements
- Legal right to work in Italy; valid work permit for a full-time role (40 hours/week).
- At least intermediate proficiency in Italian and English.
- Previous housekeeping supervisory experience is a strong advantage.
- Good knowledge of rooms operations in luxury hospitality; technical familiarity with Opera is ideal.
- Reliable, motivated, attentive to detail with a strong passion for luxury housekeeping standards and procedures.

Requisiti
Legal right to work in Italy (valid work permit for full-time role), intermediate Italian and English, previous housekeeping supervisory experience preferred, knowledge of rooms operations and luxury standards, Opera experience ideal, reliability, motivation and strong attention to detail.
