Collegio alla Querce is a historic former boarding school undergoing an extensive restoration to celebrate its 16th-century roots. The European resort will comprise three adjacent original buildings with 83 rooms, an original chapel and theater, a library, two restaurants and a bar, set within terraced Baroque gardens, lawns, a pool and dining outlets — offering guests both relaxation and adventure.

Role summary

We are hiring a Director of Revenue Strategy (DORS) to design and implement revenue plans that maximize top-line revenue, improve profitability and grow market share. The DORS will lead revenue-generation efforts across pricing, distribution, digital marketing and reservation sales, detect statistically relevant trends, use predictive models to forecast demand, and deploy strategies across channels.

Core responsibilities

  • Work closely with the property's revenue team to analyze reporting metrics and implement an effective revenue strategy.
  • Develop and execute a demand-based pricing strategy by room type.
  • Use transient KPI reports to spot booking trends and inform decisions.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the hotel’s competitive set and the resort’s positioning within it.
  • Collaborate with digital marketing to build ongoing plans for long-term positioning and short-term demand generation.
  • Lead weekly strategy sessions and one-on-one meetings to influence decisions and execute plans.
  • Implement a distribution strategy that leverages lower-cost channels to boost profitability, including alternative residential channels to expand reach.
  • Prepare day-by-day forecasts as required.
  • Coordinate with the revenue generation team and stakeholders to meet ancillary revenue targets.
  • Communicate performance or process issues clearly and develop corrective plans.
  • Drive change, demonstrate accountability, and work comfortably with property, regional and home-office stakeholders, and ownership groups.
  • Execute an electronic distribution merchandising strategy covering pricing, content, positioning, partnerships and marketing programs.
  • Monitor OTA and distribution sites to ensure all leisure rates and room categories are properly loaded and bookable.
  • Use the RMS to identify booking patterns outside normal windows and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Produce daily, weekly and monthly reporting suites (pace, segmentation, channel, etc.) to guide pricing choices.
  • Implement group and wholesale block management programs to ensure contracted rooms are maintained, forecasted, yielded appropriately and released on time.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Fluency in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
  • High school diploma (required); Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in an on-property Director of Revenue Strategy / Director of Revenue role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work directly with ownership groups and senior executives to present strategy, gain alignment and execute plans.
  • Ability to influence across departments and organizational levels.
  • Proficient with revenue management and distribution systems (PMS, RMS, CRS).
  • Skilled in demand analysis and using predictive modeling tools to inform pricing and distribution.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
