The Mission

We are looking for a Team Leader Engineering to join Varisco S.r.l. (Atlas Copco Group) in Padova. Varisco is a long-established manufacturer of pumps for dewatering and industrial uses and has been part of Atlas Copco since 2016. The main objective of this role is to coordinate and manage the New Product Development (NPD) team within the Engineering department, driving the development and update of products and components and managing projects from feasibility through to serial production according to Atlas Copco’s "Concept to Product (C-t-P)" guidelines, while ensuring maintenance of the product portfolio.

Role and responsibilities

• Lead the NPD team to produce 3D/2D drawings and, when necessary, coordinate external support (Gecia) for these activities.
• Oversee new product development following Atlas Copco’s C-t-P design guidelines and coordinate the team’s activities.
• Manage NPD projects through design and drawing phases, performing risk and cost analyses in compliance with relevant legislation.
• Select components by evaluating technical and economic aspects.
• Monitor prototype development and test results together with the Team Leader Labo to verify compliance with technical specifications.
• Create all drawings required for prototype production and for final testing, enabling BOM release.
• Prepare CE technical files and provide the information necessary for instruction manuals.
• Create and update technical files, project documentation and presentations.

Candidate requirements

• Minimum 3 years proven experience in people management.
• Minimum 5 years proven experience in engineering.
• University degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Fluency in Italian and English.
• Positive, proactive mindset with empathy and resilience.
• Structured approach, precision and punctuality in leading activities.
• Strong problem solving skills and a collaborative team-working attitude.
• Ability to coordinate priorities and deadlines and to plan ahead.
