Job purpose: The Commercial Operations Manager for Unilever Food Solutions Italy is a senior role responsible for converting strategic priorities into disciplined commercial execution to deliver profitable growth across channels and customers. Reporting to the UFS Head of Country, this role coordinates commercial planning, forecasting, pricing and mix strategy, trade investment governance, promotional effectiveness, customer planning and performance management.
The role is a member of the UFS leadership team and ensures alignment between Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain and Customer Development while driving the PUSH agenda and enabling the PULL growth model.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the annual commercial planning process and the sales execution framework.
- Own the S&OP and forecasting process, ensuring alignment between demand, supply and commercial priorities.
- Manage Net Revenue Management across levers such as pricing, portfolio transformation, mix management, promotional optimisation and trade investment governance.
- Define and implement customer and channel strategies to maximise profitable growth and return on investment.
- Use sell-out insights to shape customer approaches, optimise promotions and drive sustainable profitable growth.
- Run commercial performance reviews to identify growth opportunities, create ownership and ensure accountability for results.
- Enable the sales organisation with advanced analytics, performance dashboards, business insights and decision-support tools.
- Govern commercial investments to ensure disciplined execution and optimal allocation of resources.
- Drive cross-functional alignment to secure flawless execution of business priorities and accelerate growth.
- Support innovation and renovation programmes through strong commercial activation and execution excellence.
- Build capabilities and processes to improve commercial effectiveness, route-to-market performance and customer profitability.
Key requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Net Revenue Management (NRM) and Trade Marketing Investment (TMI) within the FMCG industry.
- Proven experience in forecasting, commercial planning and execution.
- Data-driven mindset and strong analytical skills, including experience with Power BI and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills; ability to collaborate with and manage diverse stakeholders and customers.
- Interest in the Food industry; results-oriented with a collaborative and inclusive approach.
- Fluency in Italian and English.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in Foods, Beverages or Out-of-Home channels.
- Exposure to sales or distribution channels.
- Ability to use AI or analytical programming.
- International educational or professional experience.
- Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing or related field.
Additional information
The position is full-time and permanent based in the Rome office. Salary Range: €51.200 – €70.400 gross per year. Limited travel to customers is expected. Candidates will be eligible to the annual bonus plan (based on business results and individual contribution) and to the Annual Shares Plan in line with company policy. The compensation package will be defined according to experience, skills and seniority and aligned with internal equity principles.

Requisiti
Minimum 5 years in NRM and TMI within FMCG; proven forecasting and commercial planning experience; strong analytical skills (Power BI, Excel); leadership and stakeholder management; fluency in Italian and English; degree in Business/Economics/Finance/Marketing or related field preferred.
