San Clemente Palace Venice is an award-winning luxury resort set on its own island in the Venice lagoon. The 900-year-old complex blends restored monastic buildings, a 12th-century chapel and almost six hectares of historic gardens with modern comforts. The property hosts rotating art installations during the Venice Biennale and features high ceilings, terrazzo floors, silk-covered walls and Murano glass chandeliers, alongside extensive leisure facilities including a Longevity Spa, heated outdoor pool, tennis court, jogging paths, a pitch & putt golf course and a fully equipped kids’ club.
For the 2026 season we are recruiting a Room Service Waiter/Waitress to join the Food & Beverage team, providing in-room dining service to our guests and helping deliver the hotel’s hallmark service standards.
Scope and objectives
The role is focused on delivering courteous, professional and efficient food and beverage service in the assigned outlet, following hotel standards and San Clemente Palace Venice’s core values, with the aim of encouraging sales and maximising guest satisfaction.
Main responsibilities
- Report to the Assistant Room Service Manager & Room Service Manager and follow assigned duties.
- Arrive punctually, wear the correct, clean and pressed uniform, polished appropriate footwear and nametag as per grooming standards.
- Provide courteous, professional and efficient service at all times.
- Be fully familiar with the services and products offered by the hotel and the F&B department assigned.
- Understand menu items thoroughly and be able to explain them and perform upselling when appropriate.
- Operate the POS system at the level of training received.
- Keep the workplace clean and organised; follow opening and closing procedures for the outlet.
- Monitor supplies and equipment to minimise spoilage and wastage.
- Handle guest enquiries, complaints and feedback courteously and escalate to supervisors when needed, ensuring follow-up.
- Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and attend departmental and hotel trainings and meetings.
- Assist with inventories and undertake reasonable additional duties as assigned by the Department Head.
- Project a positive, motivated attitude and exercise self-control at all times.
- Ensure food & beverage service is available for all hotel rooms and suites and coordinate communication between Kitchen, order taker and service team.

- Location: Venice, Italy – based on San Clemente Island (daily boat transfers required).

Requisiti
Legal right to work in Italy; reasonable command of Italian and English; ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays; daily boat transfers to the island.
