Il Palazzo Experimental features 32 beautifully designed rooms and suites by Dorothée Meilichzon and a large private garden beside a tranquil canal. The hotel has three canal-facing entrances giving direct access to the restaurant L’Adriatica, the reception area and the Experimental Cocktail Club.

About the role

We are recruiting a Receptionist to join the team at Il Palazzo Experimental. The main responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming and assisting guests upon arrival.
  • Managing all front desk operations: check-in, check-out, currency exchange, invoicing, room allocation, information, reservations and concierge services.
  • Answering guest enquiries and requests, providing personalised service tailored to each need.
  • Maintaining consistently high standards of guest service in line with company quality expectations.
  • Handling guest complaints in coordination with the Front Office Manager.
  • Ensuring effective communication and coordination with hotel departments (Housekeeping and F&B).
  • Coordinating front desk security to protect guests, property and belongings, including key control.
  • Managing the hotel’s general mailbox by replying to and forwarding emails as necessary.
  • Supporting administrative activities at the front desk, keeping departmental administration efficient and submitting operational reports on time.
  • Keeping work areas tidy and ensuring the hotel entrance is welcoming.
  • Maintaining departmental equipment in good, clean working order.

About you

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar front desk role, ideally within an upscale hotel.
  • Well-groomed appearance with a strong service mentality and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail, teamwork, initiative, availability and flexibility to perform in a demanding environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Opera is an advantage.
  • Fluent in Italian and English; knowledge of a third language is a plus.

Requisiti

Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role; well-groomed with strong service mindset and interpersonal skills; attention to detail, team spirit and initiative; experience in hotel reception (preferably high-end); proficiency in Microsoft Office (Opera knowledge a plus); fluent in Italian and English; availability and flexibility.
