Regional Sales Manager – Southern Europe (Defence)

This is a field-based role with a home-office base in Italy (remote – Italy). The company is an international manufacturer of electronic components and connectivity solutions seeking a Regional Sales Manager to grow business across Italy, Spain, France and Greece within the defence sector.

The role offers an opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional with defence-industry experience to take ownership of a strategic territory, build lasting customer relationships and deliver sustained revenue growth.

Role responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth across Italy, Spain, France and Greece.
  • Develop and maintain direct relationships with defence OEMs, engineers, project managers and procurement teams.
  • Identify, pursue and secure new projects and business opportunities across the region.
  • Manage and expand existing customer accounts while developing new accounts.
  • Promote power, networking and connectivity solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Support and leverage channel partners where appropriate.
  • Conduct technical and commercial negotiations.
  • Manage sales pipelines and forecasts and deliver against revenue targets.
  • Travel throughout the region (approximately 50%) to support customers and business development activities.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience in direct technical sales within the defence market.
  • Strong understanding of defence OEMs and complex procurement environments.
  • Background in power, networking, connectivity or electronic component solutions.
  • Experience managing strategic customer relationships across Southern Europe.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, commercially driven and comfortable working independently.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the territory.

Requisiti

Proven direct technical sales experience in the defence market; strong knowledge of defence OEMs and complex procurement; background in power, networking, connectivity or electronic components; experience managing strategic accounts across Southern Europe; excellent communication and negotiation skills; self-motivated and able to work independently; willingness to travel extensively (≈50%).
