Function: Customer Strategy and Planning — Location: Rome offices — Terms: Full-time, permanent

This role is responsible for converting strategy into disciplined commercial execution to deliver profitable growth across channels and customers. Reporting to the UFS Head of Country, you will orchestrate the commercial agenda and oversee sales planning, forecasting, pricing and mix, trade investment governance, promotional effectiveness, customer planning and performance management.

Main responsibilities

  • Lead the annual commercial planning process and the sales execution framework.
  • Own S&OP and forecasting to align demand, supply and commercial priorities.
  • Drive Net Revenue Management across pricing, portfolio transformation, mix management, promotional optimisation and trade investment governance.
  • Design and implement customer and channel strategies to maximise profitable growth and ROI.
  • Use sell-out insights to shape customer approaches, refine promotions and support sustainable profitable growth.
  • Lead commercial performance reviews to identify opportunities, foster ownership and ensure accountability.
  • Enable the sales organisation with advanced analytics, dashboards, business insights and decision-support tools.
  • Govern commercial investments to ensure disciplined execution and optimal resource allocation.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain to ensure flawless execution of priorities.
  • Support innovation and renovation through strong commercial activation and execution excellence.
  • Build capabilities and processes to improve commercial effectiveness, route-to-market performance and customer profitability.

Key requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Net Revenue Management (NRM) and Trade Marketing Investment (TMI) within the FMCG industry.
  • Proven experience in forecasting, commercial planning and execution.
  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills — experience with Power BI and Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders and customers.
  • Interest in the food industry and a results-oriented yet collaborative, inclusive approach.
  • Fluency in Italian and English.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in foods, beverages or out-of-home channels.
  • Exposure to sales or distribution channels.
  • Ability to use AI tools or analytical programming.
  • International education or professional experience.
  • Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing or related field.

Additional information

Salary range: €51,200 – €70,400 gross per year. The compensation and contractual level will be determined according to the candidate’s experience, technical skills and seniority and aligned with internal equity principles. You may be eligible for the annual bonus plan (based on business results and individual performance) and the Annual Shares Plan as per company policy.

Collective labour agreement: Food Industry (CNEL Code E012)

Requisiti

Minimum 5 years’ experience in NRM and TMI within FMCG; proven forecasting and commercial planning experience; strong analytical skills (Power BI, Excel); leadership and stakeholder management; interest in Food industry; fluency in Italian and English. Degree in Business/Economics/Finance/Marketing or related field preferred.
