We are seeking a Room Attendant to join The St. Regis Rome on a temporary basis. The role goes beyond tidying rooms: you will help create outstanding guest experiences by keeping guest rooms and hotel areas pristine, responding to requests, restocking supplies, and supporting colleagues to maintain service standards.
Greet and acknowledge every guest with a smile, eye contact and a friendly greeting, using the guest’s name when possible. Anticipate and address guest needs by asking questions and observing preferences. Assist colleagues to ensure timely service and respond positively to guest questions, concerns or requests following St. Regis property procedures.
Report urgent repairs or preventative maintenance needs to Engineering, At Your Service/Delighted to Serve, or the Housekeeping office. Respond promptly to requests from guests, Front Desk or At Your Service. Choose appropriate cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment per OSHA and corporate standards. Fill and return carts with supplies, report room statuses (e.g., Do Not Disturb), comply with quality assurance standards, and keep laundry and storage areas organized.
Ensure appliances (hair dryer, TV, remote, microwave, etc.) are present and functioning. Clean bathrooms (tub/shower, toilet, sink, mirror, floor), dust and remove marks from furnishings and walls, follow room-access procedures (knock, announce “Housekeeping” and verify vacancy), remove trash and used linens, change beds and terry items to correct standards, replenish amenities and supplies, and report missing or damaged property.
Clean and stock public and employee restrooms and showers, clean glass and floor surfaces using designated chemicals and equipment (mops, buffers, vacuums, extractors, shampoo machines), dust furniture and fixtures, empty trash and recycling, inspect furniture condition and report damages, and maintain lighting by wiping fixtures and reporting burnt-out bulbs.
Use clear, appropriate and professional language with guests and coworkers. Discuss work matters discreetly away from public areas and support coworkers, treating all with dignity and respect.
Complete required safety training and certifications. Follow company and departmental safety and security procedures, report accidents or injuries immediately, identify and correct or report unsafe conditions, follow hazardous materials procedures and Material Safety Data Sheets, and adhere to property emergency procedures (evacuations, medical emergencies, natural disasters). Stay aware of unauthorised persons on premises.
Maintain a clean, hygienic and professional uniform and appearance in line with company policy. Follow all company and department procedures, protect company assets, preserve guest and coworker privacy and security, and perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
Interpersonal skills, customer service orientation, teamwork, respect for diversity, safety focus, professional presentation, dependability, integrity, and a positive attitude are all essential.
Education: higher education, diploma or equivalent. No prior related work or supervisory experience is required. Successful candidates are hospitality enthusiasts who want to grow and explore career opportunities within the company.
