Position: Sales Executive based at The St. Regis Rome, reporting to the Director of Sales and working within the Sales team to attract new guests and create exceptional experiences.
Main responsibilities include:
- Answer, record and manage all guest calls, questions, requests and concerns received by phone, fax or mail.
- Handle reservation requests, changes and cancellations; enter Marriott Rewards data into the appropriate software when taking bookings.
- Use sales techniques to maximise revenue while maintaining guest loyalty, including up-selling and processing rewards redemptions.
- Determine and allocate complementary items to reward guest patronage (for example reward points, tickets, gift certificates).
- Support Sales & Marketing with general office duties such as filing, emailing, typing and faxing.
- Promote and protect the brand image both internally and externally; ensure confidentiality of proprietary information and safeguard company assets.
- Welcome and acknowledge guests following company standards; anticipate and meet service needs and express genuine appreciation to guests.
- Demonstrate clear, professional spoken and written communication and proper telephone etiquette.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, support the team to achieve common goals and respond appropriately to coworkers’ concerns.
- Assist management in motivating and training staff and serve as a role model; monitor others’ performance to ensure quality standards.
- Read and verify information presented in various formats; perform light physical tasks (move/lift/carry/push/pull items up to 10 pounds) and any other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.
Preferred qualifications: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent; at least 2 years of related work experience; no supervisory experience required; Italian and English language proficiency; no licence/certification required.
