Job summary
The role involves the mechanical design and development of machines and plants throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with specifications, timelines and cost targets.
- Define machine and plant layouts and design components, assemblies and format parts, including revisions to existing designs.
- Develop mechanical solutions for new functions, assemblies and parts in line with regulatory and customer requirements.
- Deliver mechanical design work in accordance with project schedules and cost objectives.
- Prepare and update the bill of materials (BOM) to guarantee correct production release of machines and components.
- Assess manufacturing processes, tolerances and surface treatments necessary to ensure functional performance.
- Contribute to specifying safety requirements and participate in product, process and operator risk assessments.
- Maintain and update technical project documentation (specifications, drawings, BOMs, project archiving and assembly instructions).
- Support the compilation of the machine technical file and testing protocols together with the Documentation Department.
- Take part in tests and experimental trials for new assemblies or functionalities.
- Continuously interface with production, quality, R&D and other internal departments during the project lifecycle.
- Provide support to pre-sales, after-sales and marketing activities when required.
Skills and experience
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Bachelor or Master) or an equivalent Mechanical Technical Diploma.
- About 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Designer, preferably in automatic machinery, industrial automation, primary packaging or manufacturing sectors.
- Proven use of parametric 3D CAD software and ability to manage technical documentation.
- Experience working in technical design offices.

Compensation
The starting gross annual salary is €39,000, under the National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL) for the Metalworking Industry, with the possibility of increase depending on experience and skills, according to objective and gender-neutral criteria.

Requisiti
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent technical diploma); approximately 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Designer; experience in technical design offices (preferably in automatic machinery/industrial automation/packaging); proficiency with parametric 3D CAD and technical documentation management.
