Descrizione della Posizione Lavorativa

Role: Commercial Operations Manager based in Rome, reporting to the UFS Head of Country. This is a full-time, permanent position with a gross annual salary range of €51,200 – €70,400.

Job purpose

The Commercial Operations Manager is a key leadership role within Unilever Food Solutions Italy, responsible for converting the business strategy into disciplined commercial execution and achieving profitable growth across customers and channels. The role coordinates sales planning, forecasting and pricing, trade investment governance and performance management, ensuring alignment across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain and Customer Development.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the annual commercial planning and the sales execution framework.
  • Own the S&OP and forecasting process to align demand, supply and commercial priorities.
  • Drive Net Revenue Management (pricing, portfolio transformation, mix management, promotional optimisation and trade investment governance).
  • Design and implement customer and channel strategies to maximise profitable growth and ROI.
  • Use sell-out insights to shape customer plans and optimise promotions for sustainable profitable growth.
  • Lead commercial performance reviews to identify opportunities, foster ownership and ensure accountability.
  • Enable the sales organisation with advanced analytics, dashboards and decision-support tools.
  • Govern commercial investments to ensure disciplined execution and optimal resource allocation.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment for flawless execution of business priorities and support innovation and renovation through strong commercial activation.
  • Build capabilities and processes that enhance commercial effectiveness, route-to-market performance and customer profitability.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Net Revenue Management (NRM) and Trade Marketing Investment (TMI) within the FMCG sector.
  • Proven experience in forecasting, commercial planning and execution.
  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills (Power BI, Microsoft Excel) and the ability to convert data into route-to-market recommendations.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, able to influence cross-functional teams and customers.
  • Interest in the food industry and a results-oriented, collaborative approach.
  • Fluency in Italian and English.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in Foods, Beverages or Out-of-Home channels.
  • Exposure to sales or distribution channels and familiarity with AI or analytical programming.
  • International educational or professional experience and a degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing or related fields.

Requisiti

Minimum 5 years in NRM and TMI within FMCG; experience in forecasting and commercial planning; data-driven with strong analytical skills (Power BI, Excel); leadership and stakeholder management; interest in Food; fluent Italian and English; degree in related field preferred; familiarity with AI/analytical programming and international exposure advantageous.
