Location: Bologna area, Italy. Salary: €75,000 - €90,000 gross per year + benefits.

This role is focused on attachment systems for construction machinery: the successful candidate must have a strong understanding and hands-on experience with attachments for excavators and/or wheeled loaders.

Overview

The employer is a global OEM in the construction machinery sector, currently expanding its European product range and commercial capabilities. The position will support that growth by improving attachment applications within the product portfolio.

The role: Product Manager / Systems Engineer

The company seeks a professional able to work directly with customers or via customer teams to gather and define requirements for attachments used on excavators and/or wheeled loaders. This person will guide European and Asian product development teams in the design and development of attachments to meet those applications and to broaden the company's offerings.

The role requires a mix of systems-level technical expertise (a broad understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and control systems) together with strong commercial and communication skills. Suitable backgrounds include systems engineering, mechatronics, hydraulics or control engineering, or product management with proven experience in the attachments industry for excavator or wheeled loader applications.

Key responsibilities and objectives

• Work with customers and internal stakeholders to define attachment application requirements.
• Translate requirements into technical specifications for engineering design teams.
• Guide and coordinate European and Asian product development activities.
• Support commercial activities and represent the company in customer meetings and trade exhibitions.
• Drive enhancements to increase machine capabilities via improved attachment solutions for the European market.

Skills / Requirements

• Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline (e.g. mechanical, electrical, mechatronics).
• At least 5 years' experience in development of attachments for excavators or wheeled loaders within the construction or mining machinery markets (targeting EU product markets).
• Excellent communication skills in English (able to engage directly with customers, design engineering and R&D teams).
• Willingness to travel to meet customers, engineering teams and to represent the company at trade shows.
• Strong systems engineering capability to convert requirements into engineering specifications.
• Competence in mechanical and hydraulic fundamentals and ideally in electrical/control systems relevant to attachment interfaces, mounting brackets, controls and installation.

Location: based at the company facility near Bologna, Italy. For the right candidate, relocation and work visa support can be provided. Salary and package are negotiable, but experience with excavator/wheeled loader attachments is essential.

Requisiti
