Role overview

We are searching for a Global Product Manager to join the team in Castel Guelfo (Bologna), Italy. The role offers subject matter leadership for assigned Large Power UPS offerings and requires a clear understanding of the market, customer personas and competitors. You will lead and direct the full product lifecycle for your offerings.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise and market direction for assigned products and overall data center large power quality infrastructure.
  • Act as a thought leader for assigned offerings both internally and externally.
  • Own the full offering lifecycle: ideation, planning, MRS definition, NPDI process, launch, sustaining and End of Life.
  • Collaborate with the Portfolio team to align messaging and product direction with the overall portfolio.
  • Contribute to the global portfolio strategy and go-to-market plans.
  • Conduct thorough research and build business cases including revenue generation and revenue support.
  • Present business cases through product development and launch phases.
  • Manage product financials in coordination with regional teams.
  • Develop "train the trainer" content for market and sales teams and prepare/deliver presentations, demos and sales enablement tools.
  • Serve as a sales escalation contact for complex customer opportunities.
  • Attend tradeshows, meet customers, partners and sales stakeholders to ensure the voice of the customer is reflected in product plans.
  • Work embedded with other LOB offering teams to support market product specifications, engineering requests and requirements for Intelligent Ecosystem products.

Qualifications and preferences

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  • MBA and prior consulting, strategic planning or product marketing experience preferred.
  • Technical ability to translate customer needs and pain points into solutions.
  • Strong skills in cross-functional collaboration, written and oral communication, and relationship management.
  • Very strong research and analytical capabilities and the ability to communicate complex technical ideas effectively.
  • Approximately 15% travel is required and participation in global calls outside normal working hours is expected.
  • Experience with 3-phase power distribution or UPS systems is preferred.
