Company and context: Varisco S.r.l., part of the Atlas Copco Group, is a long-established and growing manufacturer of dewatering and industrial pumps. In 2016 Varisco joined Atlas Copco, a Swedish multinational with a long industrial history. The role is based in Padova, Italy.

Mission

As Team Leader Engineering you will coordinate and manage the New Product Development (NPD) team within the Engineering department, aiming to develop and update products and components. You will oversee projects from feasibility to serial production in compliance with Atlas Copco’s Concept-to-Product (C‑t‑P) design guidelines and ensure maintenance of the product portfolio.

Main responsibilities

• Lead the NPD team to produce 3D/2D drawings and, when necessary, coordinate external support (Gecia) for these activities.
• Monitor product development according to Atlas Copco C‑t‑P guidelines and coordinate team activities.
• Manage NPD projects, including design, drawings, risk and cost analysis, ensuring compliance with current legislation.
• Select components evaluating technical and economic aspects.
• Supervise prototype development and testing and verify compliance with technical specifications in cooperation with the Team Leader Lab.
• Create drawings necessary for prototype production on which final tests will be performed and the BOM will be released.
• Prepare CE technical files and provide required information for instruction manuals.
• Create and update technical files, project documentation and presentations.

• Proven people management experience (minimum 3 years).
• Proven engineering experience (minimum 5 years).
• University degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field.
• Fluency in Italian and English.

Location & working arrangement

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement: split time between remote work and on-site presence at Varisco S.r.l., Padova, Italy.
