Role summary: The System Marketing Manager – Healthcare is responsible for defining the positioning and go-to-market execution of silicon-based system solutions for the healthcare vertical. This role combines deep technical knowledge of medical devices with commercial responsibility and leads creation of reference designs and proofs-of-concept that showcase NXP's value to OEM partners, while owning global business results for the healthcare segment.
Key responsibilities
Reference design and PoC definition
- Define system reference designs and proof-of-concept requirements (MRDs) for priority healthcare applications such as patient monitoring, continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), infusion pumps, POCUS and surgical robotics.
- Translate clinical and OEM use cases into technical specifications across MCU/MPU, analog front-end, connectivity, security and AI compute.
- Lead cross-functional teams (systems engineering, applications, design) from concept to working demonstrator.
- Prepare program introduction materials (business case, technical brief, executive readout) to secure internal investment and resources.
- Define success criteria, target BOM costs and points of differentiation versus competitors (TI, ADI, onsemi, STM).
Global business responsibility
- Own healthcare segment revenue, design-win pipeline and SAM/forecast tracking across regions.
- Build and sustain relationships with global OEM partners and Tier-1 accounts.
- Coordinate regional sales and FAE teams to align global strategy with local execution.
- Monitor competitive landscape and market share movement and report versus business KPIs.
Marketing and content
- Develop technical articles, white papers and benchmarking content for executive and customer audiences.
- Support executive strategy decks, design-win playbooks and roadmap communications.
- Represent NXP's healthcare strategy in customer engagements, trade shows and analyst briefings.
Qualifications
Required and preferred qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related field; MBA is a plus.
- Minimum 7+ years in semiconductor system marketing, applications engineering or product management with exposure to healthcare/medical devices.
- Proven experience taking reference designs from definition through customer-facing launch.
- Strong understanding of regulatory context (e.g., IEC 60601, FDA) and how it affects system architecture decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for senior executive (VP/SVP/GM) and OEM audiences.
- Availability for global travel.
Compensation and terms
As of the posting date, the estimated gross annual base salary range for this position in Italy is €50,600 – €69,600. Actual pay may vary based on qualifications, experience and business needs. The role falls under the applicable National Collective Labour Agreement (Metalmeccanica Industria).
