Team Leader Mechanical Maintenance (f/m/d) – Join EGGER and grow your international career. This role is based in Caorso (Italy) and is a full‑time position (Job‑Code: 6912) within the Maintenance department.
The Mechanical Maintenance Team Leader is responsible for ensuring plant availability and continuous production by leading the mechanical maintenance team, developing team skills and resources, and guaranteeing compliance with health, safety and environmental rules.
Key responsibilities
- Disciplinary and functional leadership of the mechanical maintenance team, including performance reviews, coaching and training.
- Plan, execute and monitor maintenance activities (preventive, corrective and improvement) on production equipment.
- Ensure proper functioning, efficiency and availability of machinery; perform troubleshooting and repairs.
- Share, monitor and achieve team and departmental targets (budget, plant availability, KPIs).
- Execute and supervise inspections, maintenance tasks and documentation of repair interventions.
- Ensure compliance with legal and internal occupational health & safety rules, including running briefings and safety training for employees.
- Participate in planning and coordinating annual shutdowns and maintenance schedules.
- Manage and optimise procurement processes for materials and external services; coordinate and supervise external suppliers and contractors.
- Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective and continuous improvement actions.
- Take part in plant modifications, upgrades and technical projects.
- Organise team shifts and vacation planning; ensure workplace organisation, cleanliness and adherence to quality standards.
- Act as the main contact for organisation and management of mechanical maintenance materials and spare parts, including for newly installed machinery.
- Coordinate weekly with the Electrical and Automation Team Leaders under the Maintenance Manager and attend daily meetings with Production to analyse breakdowns.
Requirements
- Technical diploma and/or degree in Engineering.
- 5–10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within process industries.
- Strong leadership skills and proven people management experience.
- Knowledge of Lean Management principles.
- Excellent command of Italian and good command of English.
- Availability for on‑call duty.
What we offer
Annual gross remuneration: €50.000 - €60.000.
