Casa Brera, a Luxury Collection Hotel (part of Marriott International), is seeking a Beverage Expert to join the Food & Beverage team. The role reports to the F&B Manager and requires close collaboration with Service, Bar, Kitchen, Purchasing and Marketing.
Position details:
- Employment: full-time, 5 days a week with 2 days off.
- Estimated start date: August 2026.
- Location: Casa Brera, Milan.

The property, designed by Patricia Urquiola, offers 101 guestrooms and 15 suites and hosts a rooftop venue, Etereo, combining panoramic views with high-quality gastronomy. The hotel caters to both locals and international guests, presenting refined regional cuisine, breakfast service and classic Milanese aperitivo.
Role purpose
The Beverage Expert provides technical and supervisory support to the beverage operation, contributing to consistent quality of the drinks offer and overall guest experience. The role focuses on execution, coordination and operational oversight, bringing expertise in wines, spirits and mixology while ensuring compliance with standards, cost controls and brand positioning.
Core activities
- Execution and maintenance of the beverage offer:
- Support development and seasonal update of the Cocktail List and Wine List in line with brand concept.
- Apply and monitor standard recipes and drink specifications to guarantee consistency and quality.
- Assist in tracking beverage cost per item and report variances to management.
- Support beverage stock tasks including checks, inventory tracking and stock rotation under management direction.
- Keep up with industry trends (e.g. no/low alcohol, sustainability, fermentations, innovative mixology) and propose ideas for management review.
- Help implement approved sustainability measures related to waste reduction, ingredient use and packaging.
- Take orders, prepare and serve beverages to guests according to brand standards.
- Events, experiences and supplier coordination:
- Support organisation and execution of tastings, masterclasses and beverage events together with management and approved partners.
- Maintain professional relationships with suppliers and brand representatives; act as a technical contact when required.
- Contribute to beverage experiences (pairings, cocktail experiences, guided tastings) to enhance guest engagement.
- Support brand storytelling during events and service through product knowledge and guest interaction.
- Service supervision, training and quality control:
- Provide on-the-job coaching to bar and service staff on beverage service techniques, wine/spirits/cocktail knowledge, product storytelling and upselling.
- Act as a technical reference on the floor during key services to ensure standards are followed.
- Help enforce Standard Operating Procedures related to beverage service and monitor recipe compliance, portion control and presentation.
- Escalate recurrent issues or corrective needs to management.
- Other responsibilities:
- Comply with hygiene, safety and food & beverage service regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality of company information and internal procedures.
- Act in accordance with company values, policies and codes of conduct.
- Support the F&B department and operations as needed.
