Area Science Park is recruiting a Technologist on a 24-month fixed-term contract (Professional Level III under the National Collective Labour Agreement for Education and Research) to work on the INGenIO project: Next-Generation Digital Infrastructure for the Study of Rare Diseases: Multi-Omics & AI-Guided Target Identification for Precision Drug Discovery & Delivery (CUP J13C26000030007). The role falls within the Research and Innovation Support sector.

The appointed Technologist will support research activities with a high degree of autonomy and will be engaged in the following primary responsibilities:

• Support project activities using the principal technology-transfer instruments to enhance the valorisation and exploitation of research outcomes;
• Apply knowledge of intellectual property, patents and licensing to support project commercialisation efforts;
• Engage public and private stakeholders through mechanisms such as contract research, R&D collaboration agreements, know‑how transfer arrangements and Proof‑of‑Concept models;
• Assist the Infrastructure Manager in the project’s open innovation activities, including drafting deliverables and carrying out periodic monitoring;
• Facilitate integration of project activities with the EPIRO Platform developed within the PRP@CERIC project.

Eligibility and essential requirements: candidates must hold a PhD relevant to the role, or alternatively have at least three years of professional or research experience after a master’s degree in one or more of the fields specified in the official notice. Applicants must be Italian citizens or citizens of another EU Member State, demonstrate an excellent command of English and, for non‑Italian candidates, an adequate knowledge of Italian. Candidates should be familiar with the main software tools and IT applications used for research data analysis and be available for travel inside Italy and abroad.
