Descrizione della Posizione Lavorativa

Position summary

Prepare special dishes and substitutes, control the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters, and move food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator. Ensure correct portions, attractive arrangement and proper garnishing of dishes, keeping accurate food logs and monitoring both the quality and quantity of what is prepared. Communicate when assistance is needed during busy periods and notify the Chef about surplus food that could be used for daily specials. Update Food & Beverage service staff about menu specials and items that are out of stock.

Cooking and standards

Cook and prepare hot and cold foods following recipes, quality and presentation standards, and the food preparation checklist to guarantee consistent delivery.

Team leadership and people management

Support management in recruiting, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating and coaching team members, acting as a role model on shift.

Health, safety and professionalism

Adhere to all company, safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions to management; complete required safety training and certifications. Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, protect company assets and preserve confidentiality of proprietary information. Anticipate and address guests’ service needs, speak clearly and professionally, and build positive working relationships while supporting the team to meet common goals.

Physical requirements

Be prepared to stand, sit or walk for extended periods, reach overhead and below the knees (including bending, twisting, pulling and stooping) and move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Preferred qualifications

Education: Technical, trade or vocational school degree. Related work experience: at least 3 years of relevant experience. Supervisory experience: none required. License or certification: none.

Required: English and Italian.

Requisiti

Technical/Trade/Vocational School Degree; minimum 3 years of related experience; no supervisory experience required; languages: English and Italian.
