Job purpose
The Commercial Operations Manager leads the translation of business strategy into disciplined commercial execution for Unilever Food Solutions Italy, driving profitable growth across channels and customers. Reporting to the UFS Head of Country, this role coordinates end-to-end sales planning, forecasting, pricing and mix strategy, trade investment governance, promotional effectiveness and customer planning.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the annual commercial planning process and implement the sales execution framework.
- Own S&OP and forecasting to align demand, supply and commercial priorities.
- Drive Net Revenue Management (NRM) across pricing, portfolio transformation, active mix management, promotional optimisation and trade investment governance.
- Design and execute customer and channel strategies to maximise profitable growth and ROI.
- Use sell-out insights to shape customer plans, improve promotional activities and sustain profitable growth.
- Conduct commercial performance reviews, identify growth opportunities and ensure accountability for results.
- Enable the sales organisation with advanced analytics, performance dashboards and decision-support tools.
- Govern commercial investments to secure disciplined execution and optimal resource allocation.
- Ensure cross-functional alignment with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain to deliver flawless execution of priorities.
- Support innovation and renovation projects through strong commercial activation.
- Build capabilities and processes to enhance commercial effectiveness, route-to-market performance and customer profitability.
Key requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Net Revenue Management (NRM) and Trade Marketing Investment (TMI) within the FMCG industry.
- Proven experience in forecasting, commercial planning and execution.
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills in Power BI and advanced Microsoft Excel, able to convert data into actionable route-to-market recommendations.
- Strong leadership and ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders and customers.
- Interest in the food industry and a results-oriented, collaborative and inclusive approach.
- Fluency in Italian and English.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in Foods, Beverages or Out of Home sectors.
- Exposure to sales or distribution channels.
- Ability to use AI tools or analytical programming.
- International education or professional experience.
- Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing or related field.
Additional information
Location: Rome offices. This is an on-site role (#LI-OnSite). Limited travel to customers is expected.
Contract: Full-time permanent under the Food Industry collective agreement.
Salary Range: €51,200 – €70,400 gross per year, with eligibility for an annual bonus plan and participation in the Annual Shares Plan in line with company policy. Final package will be defined according to experience, skills and internal equity.

Requisiti
Minimum 5 years in NRM and TMI within FMCG; experience in forecasting, commercial planning and execution; strong analytical skills (Power BI, Excel); leadership and stakeholder management; fluency in Italian and English; interest in the Food industry.
