Role overview: You will join the RTW Development team based in Rome as a central figure for the Sportswear & Denim collection. You will own the development process from concept through to final product, ensuring creative designs become high-quality, innovative garments that meet Fendi standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead point of contact for the Sportswear & Denim collection development.
  • Participate in technical meetings with Style, modelling, production and development teams to drive projects forward.
  • Coordinate the sample process and monitor sample production, managing activities and resources involved.
  • Plan, coordinate and execute projects from insights and briefs through design, development, costing and commercialization.
  • Review prototypes and market samples to ensure accurate execution.
  • Attend production and development fittings, communicate updated tech packs/specs to factories and follow up to ensure timely adjustments.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and manufacturers on development projects and provide product feedback together with the production team.
  • Adhere to the product development calendar, tracking collection progress and resolving issues to meet objectives and deadlines.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for timely progression and return of developments, seeking optimal solutions with a focus on sustainability.
  • Review all components with attention to quality and performance.

Profile and requirements

  • 8–10+ years of experience in Sportswear product development, preferably within luxury fashion companies.
  • University degree with an emphasis on clothing / fashion.
  • Strong knowledge of product development and manufacturing processes, fabrics (including woven), garment specifications, fitting and pattern making.
  • Passion for product and excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and coordinate multiple projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a good level of English.
  • Availability to travel in Italy.

Compensation and additional information

  • For new hires in Italy, the initial annual gross salary for this role is EUR 63.000.
  • This amount represents the typical starting salary at publication and is based on objective, gender-neutral criteria; actual salary may vary according to experience, start date and organisational needs.
  • The role is eligible for bonuses at Fendi's discretion, based on individual and/or organisational performance.
  • On top of legal benefits, additional benefits are provided according to company policy.
  • This position is governed by the provisions of the CCNL Commercio applied by Fendi in Italy.

Requisiti

8–10 years' experience in Sportswear product development (preferably luxury), university degree in clothing/fashion, strong knowledge of development and manufacturing processes, fabrics, fitting and pattern making, good English, availability to travel in Italy.
